V-Ray for MODO is optimized for both CPUs and GPUs, using whatever an artist picks to deliver high-quality imagery and animations with high-degrees of speed and stability, even when working with complex 3D scenes.
V-Ray for MODO operates under the same core technology that has made V-Ray an industry-standard in visual effects, broadcast and architectural design projects for nearly 20 years. With a complete interactive lighting, shading, and rendering toolkit at their disposal, artists and designers have full control over the entire creative process, from real-time look development to the final frame rendering.
New online licensing option available for V-Ray for MODO
With the upcoming release of V-Ray for MODO, we will begin to offer a new online licensing option. With online licensing there is no wait to receive a physical dongle, and licenses can be activated in real-time once an order is processed. Online licensing is fast and secure, and customers will be able to access their new software much faster – without the back and forth of WBC and RTU files.
Online licensing requires a stable, uninterrupted internet connection. For offline use, customers may borrow licenses for up to 15 days at a time.
Currently, online licensing is only available for V-Ray 3.0 for MODO and cannot be used for any other Chaos Group products.
Dongles will continue to be an option for V-Ray for MODO customers who prefer hardware-based licenses. Dongle licensing remains unchanged.
